Maitiu to launch 7th Card Collection in Westport
Westport based artist Maitiu Quinn will be launching his seventh card collection in time for Christmas in the Wyatt Hotel on Friday 15th November at 6pm.
Maitiu lives in Knappagh, outside Westport. He has built an impressive reputation as an artist with his own business MaitsWorld selling unique hand painted cards with his artwork.
Maitiu, who has Down Syndrome, will launch this collection entitled 'Winter Life' which is inspired by everyday life around him.
“Painting is my passion. I like the world. I like to feel the world. I like to talk about the world around me. Sometimes I think it’s really hard to figure out the world. It’s about being positive and it’s to remember what I have accomplished with my artwork.”
Maitiu’s previous card collections have proven to be big hits among the public and it is expected that this collection will be no different.
PUBLIC SUPPORT
The public are invited to come along to the Wyatt Hotel, Westport on Friday 15th November for the launch of the 'Winter Life' collection where refreshments will be served. Maitiu will be there and would love to answer any questions about his collection. This year Maitiu will also have Christmas Cards for sale.
